STREET WASHING THE CITY!
In Arequipa they are cleaning streets to help prevent spread of COVID 19. Peru allows men outside M W F and women are allowed outside T Th Sat and no one at all allowed outside on Sunday’s. Curfew is now 6pm to 6am. One person per house is allowed outside at a time. The market is open 6am to 10am. Kids are not allowed outside at all.

President Vizcarra officially put the entire country under a 15 day mandatory quarantine & deployed military personnel on the streets, masked military personnel blocked major roads, while police restricted the movement of people in a controlled and safe manner. We have mandatory curfew 8pm to 5am. We can leave our homes only for essential needs like food, banking, healthcare, etc. All schools are closed, churches, public meeting places, restaurants and parks. No taxis and no personal vehicle use during this quarantine. There is no international travel in or out of the country for the next 15 days & boarders are locked down. Our return flight to the USA has been cancelled. Many of our families in areas of extreme poverty are feeling the effects of the daily rains, flooding and now food shortages. We are safe yet anxious. We covet your prayers. Pray for Perú!

Special Needs Orphanage Family this is our never ending journey of cleaning clothes!
We collect local used clothing and toy donations at our Mission House and use them to help single Moms in poverty, families in the Brick Yard, the Special Needs Orphanage all in the name of Jesus Christ!
Rainy season flooding and mudslides are causing major damage to our community. Our Single Mom families in the Brick Yard have not been able to work & the dirt roads are getting washed away. These areas of extreme poverty live on less that $2 a day, many now have no work/food because of the rains.

About a dozen years ago I took my first Charlie Craig Mission trip to Peru, now 2020 marks my 4th year walking away from the American Dream living full time in Peru....All praise to HIM.....
We met single Mom Deisi & baby Cristian while 11 year old Jose Manuel began chemo for his brain tumor. Born with hydrocephalus, Cristian’s little body lacked developed digestive organs making every day a gift from our LORD. Mom is from a very remote village high in the Andes Mountains about 8 hours away. We new clearly the Lord wanted us to step in providing her love, guidance and family. After getting a stint in his tiny head, we shared hope for this positive step forward. We shared prayer and finally felt a sense of hope. God had a different plan. After 88 days of life, our LORD provided the ultimate healing and comfort taking beloved Cristian to Heaven.
