Cristy and I are back in Bucaramanga we quietly flew back last week under the radar ready to serve. My Advanced Heart Failure team gave us the green light for a short stay in Colombia while they continue monitoring my heart device remotely every day.
There really isn’t another treatment step for me at Sanger Heart & Vascular unless my condition progresses to the point where we have to consider the next major step. It wasn’t the answer we had hoped and prayed for, but we are incredibly thankful that God opened the door for us to return to the mission field.
I have already met with the advanced cardiology team here in Colombia and will continue weekly cardiac rehabilitation sessions while we are here.
For now, my assignment is pretty simple: lose some weight, keep walking, take care of myself, and trust the LORD with whatever comes next.
We would much rather spend this season serving than sitting around waiting for what may come next.
