Cerrillo School Closing Announcement

Sadly the government announced, our beloved Cerrillo School is closing it’s doors for this school year. On the positive side, the teachers in Peru are receiving a well earned and deserved pay raise. Unfortunately, this has resulted in many school closings in the rural and poor areas. The kids will now attend school in the city of Characato.

We were blessed to paint the facilities, provide a complete make over of the playground and soccer field, provide new goals for soccer, a volleyball net and other sporting good items. We opened a computer center. We provided English and Computer Classes too with your support! We planted hope in Jesus Christ!

We are fortunate to have our several of our Cerrillo families able to benefit from our single Mom Ministry, additionally, kids 3-5 can participate in our Church's El PePe preschool class for free, join our Greatest Journey Discipleship Class for kids 4-14 or participate in our Street Ministry in the local Brick Yard. We appreciate your support and allowing us to plant seeds in the lives of these precious children!

Happy Hens & Highlands Farm Sending Orphan Love

Happy Hens & Highlands Farm owners Adam and Emily (www.happyhensanghighlands.com) believe that God made us all stewards of the Earth. As stewards it is our duty to love, respect and care for His Creation! They believe God gives to us so we can give to others. The family held a Live Simply fundraiser and blessed our special needs orphanage with materials for a bench and picnic tables. Our kids made the tables, painted them, placed their forever handprints on them. This project provides self-worth, purpose and value for the mentally challenged.

I CALL THEM "FRIEND"

Texas A&M graduate Rachel Lenzch shared “In a world where these kids are seen as “orphans”, as “disabled", or as "broken”, the truth is that they are FAR more than that. I claim the word "friend" over them, because they are exactly that to me – they are my friends that I love dearly. BUT what blows my mind every single day is that to the Father they are more to him than friends, they are HIS, they are HIS children, and He claims them as PERFECT. Just look at these smiles-“ - they are perfect!!! (Intern with Live Simply for Orphans, Sabandia PERU. )

BECAUSE OF YOUR SMILE, YOU MAKE LIFE MORE BEAUTIFUL

Because of your smile,
you make life more beautiful!

We provide love of family, self-worth and sustainability to the Mentally Challenged.

Over a decade ago, our family began annual mission trips to the Amazon Jungle. Our Live Simply family is now serving in a small shanty town in Characato, Peru living what we believe. We continue our journey serving the forgotten. Live Simply for Orphans embraces the special needs community helping run a special needs orphanage.    Our desire is to reach multiple locations across South America providing sustainable solutions that fight against the global orphan crisis, love the struggling single Moms while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Ready to take the next step?

We founded Live Simply for Orphans Inc PERU in 2013. We are a tax exempt 501(c)3 non-profit. All donations are tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 46-3898826. We are not tied to any Mission Board. We are so thankful and blessed for Anchor Baptist Church, your loving support has made a direct impact on our community in Peru!  We found after meeting with several different major Missionary Boards our calling and vision did not line up. Respectfully, I am not a pastor and we are not church planters. We didn’t fit the traditional mold for Missionaries so we walked the American dream selling our stuff, our cars, cashing in our savings and retirement and started our own non-profit.  Our ministry is quite simple, we rescue abandoned and forgotten street children. We have become the voice for the mentally challenged and disabled in our orphanage, in our local third world hospital and in our community as well.  We prevent child abandonment by embracing single Mom’s needs. We provide self-worth and sustainability to the mentally challenged community. We live to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our website www.livesimplyfororphans.org may provider further detail and understanding of our hearts.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.

Matthews 25:40

“ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

We look forward to sharing more details and our journey as we love the broken! We want you to see first hand where your heartfelt donation is used and the impact it has on our kids and community!

GOD GAVE US TWO BABIES

Last New Years Day,  I asked Sandro what he wanted for 2017 and he responded "a baby." One year later I would have never imagined that God would have given us two. One that has made heaven so much sweeter and one that has shown God's faithfulness.. #babysteele #april2018 #pregnantinperu #livesimply4peru #isnthegorgeous Missionaries Sandro & Maisie Mendoza

We are a privately run orphanage in Sabandia PERU for children with severe mental challenges and disabilities. All our children have no traceable family and will spend their entire lives in this home. None of our children have ever been adopted. We do not have a staff of doctors and therapists yet rely on uneducated loving caregivers, volunteers and our family to improve the quality of life for 35/40 mentally challenged, severely disabled children ages 5 to 32 years old, all with unique needs. On campus every school day is about special needs 65 kids/adults from the community. We have a Deaf Center Class, a Class for the Blind and special class for the severely challenged. With your help, we are the VOICE for the VOICELESS.”
